Xiongan New Area sits at the center of a triangular area with Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei's capital Shijiazhuang at the apexes. It spans the counties of Xiongxian, Rongcheng and Anxin in Hebei, and is home to Baiyangdian, a major wetland in northern China.

Seated in the southern part of Hebei Province, Xingtai borders Shandong Province to the east, Shanxi Province to the west, Handan to the south, Shijiazhuang and Hengshui to the north and northeast. Xingtai has a 3,500-year-old history. It has been widely known because "it was an ancient capital being fertile and close to rivers and mountains."In ancient times, it was the origin place of the Shang clan, the Capital of Zuyi, and the territory of Xing Marquis. There had been several capitals set up here in history.

Located in the southeast of Hebei Province, Hengshui City neighbors Xingtai, Handan, Cangzhou and Baoding within the province and is close to Dezhou in Shandong Province. It is about 119 kilometers away Shijiazhuang and 250 kilometers from Beijing. Hengshui is rich in history and local cultures. In the Three Kingdoms period, Hengshui's Jizhou was the very place where Yuan Shao had stationed his troops so as to fight against Cao Cao's troops.

Cangzhou, located in the southeast part of Hebei Province, is 240 kilometers south of Beijing and 120 kilometers south of Tianjin. Cangzhou gained its name from its close proximity to the Bohai Sea. It was said to be one of main sources of the ancient legend that Pangu separated the sky from earth. Historically, successive dynasties had set up counties in this area. The famous Grand Canal zigzagged 220 kilometers through the territory of this city. These associations have left the city an abundance of culture and a large number of historical relics.

Shijiazhuang City is situated in the south central Hebei Province, adjacent to Hengshui in the east, Xingtai in the south, Yangquan (Shanxi Province) in the west and Baoding in the north. With complete industrial departments, Shijiazhuang City has formed a comprehensive industrial structure with a reasonable layout based on textile, medicine, electronics, machinery, chemicals, building materials and light industry. As “Chinese Medicine Capital”, its overall strength of pharmaceutical industry ranks first in China.

The city of Zhangjiakou is situated in northwestern Hebei Province. As the Co-host City of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Zhangjiakou has a somewhat rugged topography characterized by high mountains, deep valleys, and rocky pathways, as a result it is an ideal place for holidays, and it can provide tourists with a variety of experiences. In the area, there are significant differences in different seasons. In winter, tourists can ski in Chongli Mountains; in spring, they can visit historical sites; in summer, visitors can sleep in Mongolian yurts on Zhangbei Grassland, where annual musical events were held; while in autumn, visitors can taste Huailai wine and take a bath in nearby hot springs.

Qinhuangdao is situated in the northeastern part of Hebei Province. It borders the Yanshan Mountains in the north and Bohai Bay in the south. As one of north China's ice-free natural harbors, it abounds in fish, prawns, and other aquatic products. The famous health resort, Beidaihe Beach, lies southwest of the city. Qinhuangdao has a long history. The first emperor of Qin Dynasty once stationed here on his eastern inspection tour in 215 B.C, and sent Lu Sheng of Yan State to seek importals off the sea, hence the place was named after him as Qinhuangdao (island of Emperor Qin).

Tangshan city is located in the east of Hebei Province, bordering the Bohai Sea to the south, Yanshan Mountain to the north, Beijing and Tianjin to the west. It is about 154 kilometers from Beijing. Tangshan has a long history, with ancient humans living in the area as early as 4,000 years ago. Tangshan is an important heavy industrial city in North China. Its output include machinery, motor vehicles, chemicals, textiles, glass, petroleum products, and cement. Even today, Tangshan is a hub of steel, energy, chemical, and ceramics production.

Situated in the eastern-central part of Hebei Province, Langfang borders Beijing to the north, Tianjin to the east, Cangzhou to the south, and Baoding to the west. Langfang has a long history. Today visitors can see the ancient Song-Liao Battle Road in Yongqing, mosques, and other sights. Besides, Langfang is a city of intangible cultural heritage.There are world cultural heritages such as Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, Yannan ancient Great Wall, etc..

Baoding, situated in central Hebei province, is approximately 150 kilometers southwest of Beijing. As a historical city with thousands of years of accumulation and rich deposits, it has a number of notable historic sites and national-level cultural relics. Relying on its historical and cultural resources including Ding pottery and the Dingzhou silk tapestry, Dingzhou has become a wonderful tourism destination for travelers.

Xinji, as a county-level city of Hebei Province, is under the administration of the city of Shijiazhuang. It is the easternmost county-level division of Shijiangzhuang. Xinji was formerly named Shulu County, and became a county-level city in 1986. The leather industry has contributed significantly to economic development of Xinji. Handan is a located in southwest of Hebei province. It borders Xingtai on the north, and the provinces of Shanxi on the west, Henan on the south and Shandong on the east. Throughout the city's long history, it contributed significantly to Chinese culture, serving as the capital of State of Zhao, was northern China's political, economic and cultural center. Chengde, situated in the northeast of Hebei, is about 225 km northeast of Beijing. It is best known for Chengde Summer Resort, a vast imperial garden and palace formerly used by the Qing emperors as summer residence. As one of the famous historic and cultural cities of China, Chengde has numerous scenic spots, with some of them being renowned both at home and abroad. The city is suitable for tourists all year around, however, considering its beautiful natural scenery, the best time to travel is from April to October. The Chengde Summer Resort and Eight Outer Temples have been listed as the world cultural heritage sites, which contributed to the city being one of famous cities in the world.
