"Through this exhibition, I have further deepened my impression of Hebei and Langfang. With its unique geographical location, Langfang can become an important logistics, trade, and economic center," said Serbian Ambassador to China, Maja Stefanovic, on June 17th while attending the 2024 China-Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair.

"There has been a long-standing friendly cooperation between Hebei and Serbia. Hebei is also an important part of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Serbia," she stated.

She emphasized that the ironclad friendship between China and Serbia relies on Hebei's involvement, with HBIS Group Serbia Iron & Steel d.o.o Beograd contributing significantly to Sino-Serbian friendly cooperation.

In 2016, HBIS Group acquired the Smederevo Steel Plant in Serbia, establishing HBIS Group Serbia Iron & Steel d.o.o Beograd locally, revitalizing the century-old plant.

Regarding the future direction of cooperation between Serbia and Hebei, she highlighted, "With the opening of the first direct freight train route connecting Shijiazhuang with the Serbian capital, Belgrade, economic cooperation between the two sides in the transportation and logistics fields can reach new heights."
