On September 24th, at the "Amazing" exhibition area of the Hebei International Industrial Design Week 2023 in Xiong'an New Area, a highly futuristic robot caught the attention of reporters. Zhang Mengdi, Marketing Manager of Beijing Pulong Technology Co., Ltd., said, "This robot's arms can make 360-degree rotation, with high-definition cameras and infrared thermal imaging devices installed on both arms. It features an independent dual-view gimbal, a partial discharge detection system, and an omni-directional obstacle avoidance system."
"This product was developed and produced by our company after it was established in Xiong'an New Area. Compared with our previous products, this robot has an independent dual-view gimbal, a partial discharge detection system, and an omni-directional obstacle avoidance system. It can perform uninterrupted inspections 24 hours a day. By utilizing intelligent algorithms, its positioning accuracy can reach 1 millimeter and its detection accuracy can reach around 99 percent during inspections. It is more intelligent and can perform more functions," Zhang Mengdi explained.
Compared with traditional robots, the rail-mounted AI inspection robot can complete an inspection of a substation in approximately half an hour, while a manual inspection requires at least 1.5 hours. The inspection efficiency is three times that of manual labor, saving 70 percent of labor cost. The inspection robot can accurately identify various instruments, panels, switches, indicators and equipment appearances, automatically record meter readings, and comprehensively understand the information about the status of equipment and the environment. It can also support the monitoring of up to 100 types of gases, providing real-time monitoring information about the environment such as gas, temperature, humidity, and smoke.
