On Sept 6th, at the opening ceremony of the 2023 China International Digital Economy Expo (CIDEE), the China Center for Information Industry Development (widely known as CCID) released the 2023 China Digital City Competitiveness Research Report, which focused on the construction of urban digital transformation and development and formed the list of 2023's top 100 digital cities.

Six cities in Hebei province were listed, namely, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Baoding, Handan, Langfang, and Cangzhou, ranking 25th, 54th, 58th, 74th, 77th, and 79th, respectively.

Building a digital China is an important engine for promoting China's modernization in the digital age and a strong support for building new national competitive advantages. As the main body of economic and social development, cities are important carriers for implementing national strategic arrangements. The high-quality development of digital cities is an important measure to implement the strategic arrangements of a digital China.
The 2023 China Digital City Competitiveness Research Report analyzes the comprehensive strength of digital cities and the level of digitalization in various fields from six dimensions: information infrastructure, digital economy, digital governance, livelihood services, digital innovation, and digital low-carbon. It provides a reference for the digital transformation and construction of cities in China.
