Hebei is inviting tourists from home and abroad for spring outings by way of a tourism promotion event which kicked off in Dahuoquan Park, Xingtai on April 8. They are wooing mostly tourists from Beijing and Tianjin.
The event was co-hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Municipal Government of Xingtai.
At the event, a timetable for spring flower tours was released. The host gave an immersive introduction to the four themes such as flower viewing, outdoor leisure, parent-child research, and food exploration.
They said spring is the best time of the year. You can see azalea blooming all over the Zushan Mountain in Qinhuangdao city. You can visit Boxianghan Peony Garden in Xingtai city to admire peonies, climb Xiaowutai Mountain in Zhangjiakou, search for the Cowherd and Weaver Girl at Tianhe Mountain in Xingtai city.

Singing around the bonfire at the Yanming Lake in Chengde and sketching at the Huanxi Garden in Xinji city also make outdoors the perfect activity for the spring.
While taking a family learning tour in Hebei, you can visit Shanhaiguan Pass, one of the major passes in the Great Wall of China; go to Xing Kiln Museum; check out the Tangshan Qixin 1889 Cultural Industrial Park and experience the century-old cement industry in China; go to Hengshui to participate in the ecological study tour represented by Hengshui Lake Scenic Spot, the traditional culture study tour represented by Luli Ancient Town, and the art practice study tour represented by Zhouwo Music Town.
Last but not least, Hebei cuisine is one you shouldn't miss. Daming Shaomai, Daokou roast chicken and Weixian baked wheat cake are sought-after delicacies.

The Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized 82 spring tourism marketing campaigns in various places, coordinating nearly 300 scenic spots and hotels to offer great deals to visitors.
In Xingtai city, 16 scenic spots and hotels offered discount promotions. Tourists with Beijing ID cards can enjoy a 50% discount on tickets to Jiulongxia and Boxianghan Peony Garden scenic spots.
In front of Zhangjiakou's booth, the staff recommended the local 2023 Cultural Tourism Benefit Card to visitors. Cardholders can visit more than 40 A-level scenic spots in Beijing (Yanqing) and Zhangjiakou for unlimited times.
Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism has innovated marketing and publicity methods and launched an annual series of exhibition activities of "Traveling Hebei with the Seasons". The spring tourism marketing promotion of Hebei province is one of the activities. In the future, the department will focus on the annual series, promote and display beautiful Hebei with different seasons, enhance the popularity of Hebei tourism, and make every effort to build Hebei into the first choice destination for tourists from Beijing and Tianjin on weekends.
