Citizens in Zhuozhou, Hebei province, immersed themselves in Lantern Festival celebrations over the weekend as the city decorated its parks and streets with lanterns.
Zhuozhou, about 60 kilometers southwest of downtown Beijing, is an ancient city with more than 2,300 years of history. Since old times, the city has had a tradition of holding activities themed with lanterns to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival, which fell on Sunday this year.
On Sunday night, people went to the city's Yongji Park and enjoyed shining lanterns in multiple shapes including rabbits and flowers.
