The Foton LOXA (Tangshan) new energy vehicle industrial base held a ceremony on December 24 at the Caofeidian District Equipment Manufacturing Park to mark the official operation of the base created by the BAIC Group. It is of great significance for advancing the five major systems of the city of Tangshan, namely, new ecology, new industries, new energy sources, new cities and towns and new communications.

On the very day, the first hydrogen fuel conversion product, the new generation of heavy-duty truck with large power (350 degrees) went off the line.

That means that more and more "hydrogen + electricity" driven vehicles will come out of the base to build up the green energy transportation system in Tangshan.

Meanwhile, the BAIC Foton will join hands with the Tangshan Energy Group, HISCO Group and other leading enterprises in both the upstream and downstream of the new energy and hydrogen energy industry chain to jointly establish the Tangshan Zero Carbon Industry Alliance by exploiting the advantages of Tangshan port in location, resources and industries and build a carbon-free industrial ecology and promote the high-quality development of Tangshan's new energy industry.

A strategic cooperation agreement was signed on the spot. According to the agreement, the BAIC Foton will start comprehensive cooperation with the HISCO Group in hydrogen production and sales, the layout of new energy integrated station construction, new energy vehicle operation, and the construction of intelligent control platform. They will also carry out in-depth cooperation with the Tangshan Energy Group in the promotion and development of hydrogen commercial vehicle scenarios, the development and improvement of intelligent hydrogen energy platforms, and the construction and operation of hydrogen refueling stations and hydrogen production plants.
