SHIJIAZHUANG - The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) issued 60 major research achievements for commercialization at a Matchmaking Seminar held on June 27.

The achievements cover such areas as new energy, new materials, biomedicine, energy conservation and environment protection, advanced manufacturing, electronic information and modern agriculture.

On roadshow were five major research achievement including “low melting points electrolyte thermal batteries”,“New type of iron-based environment repair materials and technology for preparations”.

Ten local companies signed agreements online with CAS on applying technologies they deemed fit.

The CAS achievements for commercialization were brought to the seminar by the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology.

This Seminar focused on the high-tech industrial development zones in such cities as Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Baoding, Chengde and Hengshui.

Apart from the 60 major CAS achievements, the seminar promoted 50 CAS expert innovation teams, roadshowed a number of key cooperation projects, and encouraged relevant cities to introduce supporting policies and measures for promoting technological investment projects, cooperation among enterprises, institutions in Hebei province and CAS innovation teams, and accelerating the pace of the transformation of the CAS achievements in Hebei province.
