The Guo's Iron Plate Relief Carving is a traditional specialty craft that is done on an iron plate by such tools as a hammer and chisels and through the processes of hammering, forging, chisel cutting, polishing, and grinding and color burning. In 2013, it was inscribed into the provincial list of intangible culture heritage in Hebei Province. It is a new school of carving art that combines the metal carving craftsmanship in the Chinese traditional folk art with western painting and carving arts after well-digested and refined process. After years of inheriting and development, it has formed its own unique artistic style and features, with rigorous structure and delicate workmanship. It is deeply loved and collected by museums, collectors, and people from all walks of life.
