A fleet of 10 autonomous heavy-duty trucks have recently started pilot operations at the Jingtang port in Tangshan, North China's Hebei province.

The trucks were co-manufactured by Chinese autonomous driving startup Utopilot and Chinese truck maker SAIC Hongyan.

The fleet marked the latest step of Utopilot in the commercialization of its autonomous solutions.

Utopilot said the autonomous trucks, equipped with its self-developed autonomous system, can provide around-the-clock service at the Jingtang Port with improved efficiency.

Focused on autonomous driving solutions, Utopilot is backed by major companies including SAIC as well as Haier.

Besides the Jingtang Port, fleets with Utopilot have been running in different scenarios including logistics parks as well as steel plants across the country.
