A fire started in a range of mountains in Mancheng county and extended over 10 kilometers on Sunday afternoon, the China News Service reported.

　　A local official in Mancheng claimed that the fire originated from the neighboring Shunping county but authorities of Shunping dismissed this allegation, saying no fire had been detected there.

　　No casualties have been reported.
